Amanda Beene

With Shelter since 1996

Amanda is the Underwriting Manager of Shelter Home Mortgage. She started her career with Bank South in Atlanta in 1992. After coming on board with Shelter in 1996, Amanda started as a processor and quickly became the company’s lead underwriter and manager. She has underwritten thousands of loans over the last 22 years and received an award for the Top Underwriter in 2014, underwriting 387 loans.

Amanda was born and raised in Snellville, GA before attending the University of Georgia, where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in 1992.

Amanda lives in Dacula with her husband, Geoff, and their two daughters.
She loves spending time with her family, watching University of Georgia football, and traveling. She is a member of 12 Stone Church in Lawrenceville.
