Karen Skiba

With Shelter since 1993

Karen is Vice President of Shelter Home Mortgage. In 1993, she started her career in the mortgage industry with Shelter dba Fairfield Mortgage. She has worked in every department associated with the loan process and was promoted to operations manager in 1998. Her operations team has been one of the top teams in the company. Karen has been a recipient of Shelter’s President’s Award for decades.

Karen has been in Atlanta since she was ten years old. She attended Georgia State University earning her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.

Karen lives in Sandy Springs with her husband of 25 years and their son. When she is not at the office, Karen enjoys boating and swimming at Lake Lanier. She is a big fan of the University of Georgia football team and attends every home game.
